  • You may know her as an old friend, if you happen to be a member of Yogasummit Hangzhou, about her personal charisma and her glamour as a female leader. Yuhui Hao, the owner of Yogasummit, has impressed her old patrons a lot because of her passion of expanding her business across domestic market.

On 6th of May, Hao came a step closer to her yoga family dream. During the openning party of Beijing Yogasummit, she embraced congratulations and praises from all sides, which are all sound proofs of her unique taste and business acumen. This is a brand new try as a business practice, to combine Chiness healing with Indian Yoga, and to provide a cozy habitat for busy Beijingers. In the near future, Hao will start to practice more programs involving Chinese sado and Fung Shui. Some day, she will surprise her Hangzhou friends again, with her new career and to share the joyfulness with them.

  • Kabba Anand began studying Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1981, and has been licensed and in private practice in Hawaii since 1987. In 2009 he was elected to the Executive Committee of the World Federation of Acupuncture Societies (WFAS), representing the United States. Anand is nationally certified as an acupuncturist as well as in Chinese Herbal Medicine. He was the first acupuncturist credentialed in a State of Hawaii hospital. Anand served as Chair of the National exam (NCCAOM), has consulted on research funded by NIH, has taught and lectured, and is a columnist for Acupuncture Today. He is an advocate of integrative medicine, and is respected as a gifted practitioner.

Dr. Kabba Anand always loved to dance. After meeting Gabrielle Roth and diving deep into the moving meditation practice of 5Rhythms, he pursued certification as a 5Rhythms teacher. He has since collaborated with Donna DeLory, Sanga of the Valley, and assisted Kathy Altman and Andrea Juhan. Anand teaches in Haiku, and volunteers at Aloha House, bringing the practice to men and women in recovery.

The 5Rhythms is a practice of embodiment, of arriving fully, of awakening our creativity and consciousness. Moving without specific steps, we focus our attention instead on a particular body part or quality of movement. Grounded in breath, the 5Rhythms practice invites discovery, expression, release, celebration, and integration through your unique body and journey.

Anand is a passionate student of Anusara yoga and Bagua Zhang. He loves organic farming, creating healthy food, writing and performing poetry, playing flutes, kayaking, hiking, dancing in sacred sites, photography, and is a video producer for local access television.

    Group Classes:

    5Rhythms:
    Sweat your Prayers 90 minutes

Come and discover what is moving inside, what wants to take shape, what your body knows and is willing to teach you as you focus your attention in dance and free movement. Listening to our own bodies, to what we feel and how we feel, we offer our attention and awareness to others, respecting their exploration and expression, allowing words to drop away, and communicating with breath, movement, and dance. We hold space for each other, creating a modern day Medicine Wheel, a living and moving gateway to the essence of who we are. Every class is unique, and offers a safe container to awaken and enliven ourselves, while enjoying a healthy workout. No experience is necessary, and people of all ages, fitness, and health are welcome.

    Workshops:

The workshops offered below are a series entitled Medicine Flow. Each one is a deep exploration of the qualities and essence of one of the five rhythms, Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness. They may be taken in any sequence, and together form a transformative journey into the essence of who we are, and what moves us, ultimately reconnecting us with what is true, with our wholeness.

    Feet First 1-3 days
In this workshop we begin by turning our full attention to our body, breath and our physical sensations. In the rhythm of Flowing we allow our feet to lead the journey, witnessing and following what is moving. Our feet reveal where we have been, where we are now, and where we want to go.

    Taking Shape 1-3 days

In this workshop we let our feelings take shape, defining our boundaries, and finding clarity. In the rhythm of Staccato we move what wants to be shared, allowing the rhythm of our hips to connect with our heart. Our hips open into knees and elbows, revealing what we want and don’t want, what we like and don’t like.

    Diving In 1-3 days

In this workshop we surrender to rhythm, letting go of what is holding us back. In the rhythm of Chaos we soften our neck and head, diving in, exploring what lies beneath. We shake off our masks, allowing true creativity to guide our release and restoration.

    After the Storm
    1-3 days

In this workshop we we shift and change shape, as our hands take flight. In the rhythm of Lyrical we find our playfulness, expansiveness, and inner artist. Effort drops away as we savor the sweet fragrance left after the storm.

     Coming Home 1-3 days

In this workshop we rest in our breath, finally coming home into all that we are. We leave the doing behind and rest in our being... finding stillness in movement, and movement in the rhythm of Stillness. It is here that we fully receive and integrate the transformation that this practice offers.
